Men of Reason
Men of reason have always found,
That all good things come from the soil, from simple ground.
And from thence plants grow by sweat and toil,
The hallowed fruits spring up from well tilled soil,
Oft planting helped by unknown hand,
That made the plow to till the land.
And so shall Sion faithful yield, her thousand sacred sweets.
Should men not reason, know it now,
They shall walk alone; shall starve, in corpse filled streets.

I love the way this poem was put. Gets to the root of things.
Is this meant as some sort of prediction? Was the date 12/5/09 added when this poem was written? I just stumbled upon this site and coincidently, 12/5/09 is tomorrow (actually, it’s probably 12/5/09 currently in Ireland, however, I am in the states.)
The date format used in Ireland goes dd/mm/yy as opposed to mm/dd/yy used in the US, which I think may be the cause of confusion.
